Missing - Chapter Eight

After hearing the commotion downstairs I had to take a look to see what was going on. As I came to the doorway to the main hall, I could see Dimitri, Chris, Sandy and my parents talking about something.

"Are you definitely sure?" my father asked Sandy. "Yes its been confirmed," she replied to him. I didn't know what they were talking about but what ever it was, it had both my parents upset.

"Hanna and her boyfriend are missing, but the guardians were not so lucky. His guardians had their throats ripped out. There was blood everywhere! I should have never agreed to letting Jacob taking watch. It was all my fault!" she explained. My father became pale and bewildered, almost breaking down into tears.
While my mother went on a frantic rampage of emotions. First crying, then screaming. They eventually helped her to her room to see if they could calm her. All I could think of was why no one was telling me anything.

That's when Dimitri spotted me as I bumped into the shelf beside the door.

"Go tell Emily what's going on while I help organize the search team," I hear Dimitri tell Chris.

Chris joined me in the living room with a grave face. "What's going on? Where's Hanna?" I asked.
"After you got home from school today, your sister and her boyfriends car was found only a hour ago. Your sisters guard and her boyfriends guards were murdered," he was explaining but I had to interrupt him. "What about my sister," I demanded. "Well that's the thing, they haven't found her or her boyfriend. Their still searching but haven't found any leads to her yet," he explained.

"Why would anyone do something so horrible?" I asked. "We're not sure. Probably for money or something like that. I'm sure they will call or send a letter demanding something soon," he tries to reassure me.
But that didn't seem to work. I began to panic. My heart was racing, threatening to jump out of my chest as I imagined the worst. I couldn't hardly breath by this point.

And then the tears came. Running down my cheeks as I fell apart.

I felt my knees go weak as I crumbled down to the ground.
Chris didn't know what to do with me. I was crying and sobbing uncontrollable. I felt like someone had just ripped me apart. I started to get really dizzy with spots dancing in my vision when Dimitri appeared and bent down pulling me into his arms. I buried my face into his chest and cried.

"It's OK, they will find her," he whispered.
I don't know what it was about Dimitri but he had a way of calming me. I closed my eyes wrapping my arms around him tighter as I found a bit of comfort from the pain.
Dimitri picked me up out of the floor pulling me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and nuzzled my face to his. "It's going to be ok. We will find your sister," he whispered into my ear.   Oh he was my comfort and everything at that moment.
"Sleep," he demanded. "I can't while she's out there all alone," I replied between my sobs. "She's not alone, her boyfriend is with her. I'll stay right here, so try and rest," he told me trying to comfort me. But I couldn't relax. I wish I could tap into her so I could find her. I closed my eyes hoping that I could feel her. I knew she was alive, but for how long I wasn't sure.

First Real Kiss - Chapter Seven

Just as Chris had told me, Dimitri was up in his room. He was piled up on the floor sitting with his legs crossed. His eyes were closed and he appeared to be meditating. Talk about being serious at what he did. I never knew that he was this dedicated.
I crept over as quite as I could, sitting down in front of Dimitri, who didn't even seem to know I was there. All I could do was sit there watching him meditating. It was mesmerizing how in depth of thought he was in.  I could only wonder what he was even thinking of.
Just like that he opened his eyes staring at me with such a serious look that finally turned into amusement. "I'm glad you think I'm funny," I smirked.

"Emily, I knew you were there the whole time. You couldn't be quite if your life depended on it," he laughed.
"Well, my life doesn't depend on it, but I would like you to teach me some moves."
"We were suppose to meet up in the workout room, not in my room," he replied.

Trying to look all hot and desirable, I tried to reason with him.
"What difference does it really make. I will be able to concentrate on the lessons if no one is grunting beside me on the treadmill," I added.
"Alright, just this time."
I got up facing Dimitri. "OK, first you will need to fend off someone if they try to attack you. Here's what I want you to do," he explained as he placed me in a spot to play the victim while he played the attacker.
"OK, try to hit me,"
"What?' I asked a little confused.
"Come at me as if I'm going to attack you," he replied as he moved into an attack stance.
"So you want me to just... hit you?" I asked again a little confused.
"Yes, so I can tell you what you need to change," he replied.

I balled up my fist and tried to rush at him. I threw my fist at him but he moved out of the way with no effort at all. I swung again and missed with the same results.
I was about ready to give up when Dimitri looked at me with a fierce look. "You want to learn to protect yourself, well then you need to put aside the frustration and any other emotion you have, it will only get you killed in the long run. Attack me again," he demanded. I didn't listen to what he said. Without a second thought I  didn't hesitate to try to hit him.
As I swung I missed terribly, and went falling to the floor. I scuffed my knee as it took the blunt of the fall.. I groaned out in pain as it stung.

"Are you alright?" Dimitri asked as he knelt down in front of me. He still towered over me as I tried to hold back the tears of humiliation and hurt.
"It's alright, this is your first time at this. It's going to be awkward and hard at first. As you practice more you will be able to fend off your attackers with much more ease. And anytime you don't want to do this, we can stop," he explained.

Oh how I loved to just hear him talk to me, I finally looked up meeting his brown eyes that held me captive. Oh how I melted in those eyes, those sweet dark eyes. I couldn't think of anything or what was even going on around me. I couldn't even concentrate on what he was saying. I just stared, and got lost in them like I had done so many times before. But this time he was so close to me that I found it hard to breath. My heart began to race.

And that's when I moved closer to him. Oh I wanted him to touch me, I wanted his lips on mine. I needed them. I yearned for them. As I moved closer I must have caught Dimitri off guard.
I leaned in meeting his lips with mine. His lips were warm and sweet just as I had imagined that they would be. He started to pull away but must have changed his mind as he gently kissed me back.
He relaxed a little, then I felt his arms wrap around me. He pulled me close as he kissed me with more fierceness. His kiss was now hungry and yearning like mine. We kissed and kissed. Oh how I loved feeling his lips move along mine. It was a sweet bliss that was tore from me when he finally pulled away.

He stood up with me looking shocked. I could only guess that's what I looked like when he handed me his hand to pull me to my feet.

When I regained my footing I stepped toward Dimitri to feel his lips burn on mine again. But he stopped me by putting his hand on my arm.

He held my arm while he stroked my face with his other hand.
"We can't do this. This must never happen again. Do you understand," he told me with such fierceness in his voice that crushed me inside. I didn't want to hear it, I just wanted him. That's all I wanted. I wanted his arms to hold me, his lips to kiss me. But instead he was pulling away.
"You don't want me?" I asked in shock.
"It's not that, I'm your protector. Your guardian, who protects you from harm. Plus I'm much older. You are a royal, I am not. We are forbidden to be together. It must not happen," he said with strain in his voice.
His eyes burned with passion and hurt all at the same time. I could tell that he was struggling not to pull me into his arms and kiss me again, but he would not falter. He stood there serious, not moving.
"You must go," he said as he released me and turned away so I couldn't see his face.

"But............." is all I could get out before he repeated for me to go. Feeling defeated I turned and left him in his room. As I walked down the steps I was mixed with so much emotions, I couldn't let him see my cry.

I went straight to my room so no one would see me. I walked and stood in front of my mirror staring back at my own reflection. How could he not think I was pretty? How could he not want to be with me? I kept asking myself over and over as the tears weld up in my eyes.

I was now sobbing and couldn't take what I was feeling. My heart was hurting. Hurting for him, the one that I couldn't have. I could have any of the other guys, but him, I couldn't. Life just didn't seem that fair. As I laid there I finally cried myself to sleep.

So It Begins - Chapter 100

After the party Kristen hadn't heard from her guard. She started to wonder if he succeeded in taking Annabell and Jamie's lives from this world. As she made her way down the corridor she ran into James.
"Oh how nice it is to see you my son. I was just on my way to meet up with your father. The wedding was a success and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. I haven't seen Annabell or Jamie in a while. Have you seen them recently?" Kristen asked James.

"Oh they went with Nolan to see his family for a few days," he replied. "How nice, I'm sure they will enjoy that. I'm going to head now, tell Amelia goodnight for me," she replied as she walked down the corridor.

She made sure no one was looking when she made her way down to the dungeon. She had told him to hide their body's in the dungeon so she figured that would be the first place to look.

When she arrived she seen a pool of blood in the crumpled up hay. Someone had to be dead to have lost that much blood. Now all she had to do was find the bodies.

Following the blood trial she was lead to a cell.

She was expecting to see Annabell and Jamie's bodies in the hay but instead she found the guard dead. She found more blood but no more bodies. What could have happened to them she thought to herself. Panic started to build up inside her as she made her way back up to the main floor of the castle.

"I should have had you do this in the first place. I have a situation that's not to be talked about. In the dungeon I had a dead guard and blood on the floors. Cover the blood up and get rid of his body," she demanded.

"Then when I locate the two that I want killed, you will kill them and get rid of their body's. If you fail you will end up like the guard in the dungeon. Do I make myself clear," Kristen asked.

"Yes my queen, I'll get it all taken care of. As soon as I'm done you can tell me where they are," he replied.

Meanwhile Nolan and Annabell were coming up with a plan of their own for the queens fate.

"I think I know exactly what we need to do. We are going to need a few spells for this," he told Annabell as he opened his book and searched through it.

"First we will need a spell to hide your identity. You need to look like one of her trusted ladies. Then we will need this spell that will put her in a trance so she cant respond but she can hear you. This will make her appear like she's fallen ill from poison. Then your going to love this one. This one will make it to where you can go into her dreams. There you can control what she sees and feels. This is where you can make her suffer the most and no one will know what's going on. It will appear that she's asleep. Then after you have had your revenge, we will then poison her to death," he told Annabell. "Your brilliant, and that's why I love you so much," Annabell told him as he continued to work on the potions.

Kristen and William were eating their dinner alone with only a few servants serving them. It was a nice evening after the wedding of Arthur and Willow. Inside Kristen was brooding and trying to hide what was going on in her head. She was not sure if her plans were going to backfire on her or if she was going to get caught.

After dinner Kristen and William were talking when all the sudden Kristen became light headed as the room swirled around her. Week at her knees the room blacked out.

Kristen hit the floor with a thud laying lifeless for a few minutes as William tried to wake her.

After a few moments she stirs awake with her head still feeling fuzzy. William helps Kristen to her feet. "Are you alright?" William asks with concern. "Yes I guess Its been a long day, I'm going to lay down for a little while, I'll see you in a while," she replies as she heads to her room.

Kristen walked in and freezes when she sees Annabell sitting on her night table. She wasn't able to move in fear of what she would do. "I thought you were..." Kristen starts to ramble on. "Oh you thought so did you. I knew you were evil but I never thought you would hurt your own family. Your own grandchild. But what can you expect from a monster and that would be you and not me," Annabell hisses at Kristen.

Light surrounds Annabell making Kristen freeze with more fear.

Annabell's skin comes to color, and her eyes turn brown like amber.

"What's going on?" Kristen whispers almost inaudible. "Oh, well you were trying to kill me and my little brother, well you gave Nolan the opportunity to cure us, not that there was anything wrong with the way I was," she growled at Kristen.

"But that's ok, you will get what's coming to you. You will feel the pain of all your victims. You will feel what you have done to all of us," Annabell continued. "You cant do that," she replied.

"Oh but I can. Pain!" she whispers as she throws a potion at Kristen as she crumbs to the ground in pain. Kristen screams as the pain wreaks havoc on her body.

After a few minutes she stills as the pain stops and she lays motionless with her eyes looking forward not moving.

Annabell kneels down peering over at Kristen as she checks her to make sure shes still alive. Moving her onto her back she closes her eyes. "Oh yes, I will be in your nightmares with you, and now it begins," she whispers.

A little later William enters to find Kristen unconscious on the floor. Running over to her he tries to shake her to wake her up. Shes not responding to anything he tries.

Picking up Kristen from the floor he walks over to bed to lay her down.

Placing her lifeless body down onto the bed he tries once again to wake her. She still doesn't respond to him.

William begins to scream for someone to help. "Help! Help! Someone has poisoned the queen," he screams.
